About Us

Women’s Interfaith Network (WIN) is a service arm of the Conejo Valley Interfaith Association.  Our Mission Statement reads as follows:

As a service arm of the Conejo Valley Interfaith Association, the Women’s Interfaith Network (WIN) is an inclusive group representing the faiths of our community. We recognize that we have strength together more than we have alone. We find we better live our lives when we work together. We are a project-driven group hosting service projects  together for those in need in our community.

WIN was initially formed in the Summer of 2016 when a group of about ten women from various faiths got together to help a Syrian refugee family settled here in the U.S. It started with WIN creating kitchen and bathroom welcome baskets filled with supplies for their new home.

Since that time the group has grown to include over 21 houses of faith that participate monthly in coming up with service projects that help our local community as well as abroad. Creating the initial welcome baskets for refugees has now become a yearly project for WIN.

Some of the other monthly projects have been collection drives for Suits for Soldiers, shoe, purse, coats and jean collections for various local organizations, diaper and underwear drives, as well as foster care gift drives including birthday boxes for James Storehouse. WIN also supports Harbor House and Westminster Free Clinic in their Adopt a Family programs, toy and backpack drives.

The group meets monthly via Zoom. Members make suggestions and the group decides on a project several months in advance. Then, each house of faith spreads the word to their congregants in order to garner supplies and volunteers. (You can also find some of our projects through JustServe.org.) Together, we are able to bring the projects to fruition.
